Top Gun program begins accepting applications for next year

Applications are now open for the 2016 Top Gun program, a competitive program that selects Maine entrepreneurs for five months of mentoring and training.

New to next year’s program will “PreFlight,” a series of workshops available to all Maine entrepreneurs, but focused on preparing a successful Top Gun application.

Starting in 2009, the program has helped 110 entrepreneurs across the state accelerate their businesses, according to the Maine Center for Entrepreneurial Development, which coordinates the program.

The program also includes bi-weekly meetings in Portland, Bangor and Rockland for the participants.

It concludes with a showcase of a selected number of the participants.  Six entrepreneurs will be chosen from each location to give a five-minute pitch in front of panelists that might include potential investors and business leaders.

More information about the program can be found on the Maine Center for Entrepreneurial Development’s website.
