Lewiston marketing firm Anchour in a growth mode

The marketing firm Anchour, in downtown Lewiston, has grown from eight employees two years ago to 19 today.

President Josh Pritchard told The Sun Journal that Anchour has attracted new hires from Nashville, Seattle, New York City and Massachusetts, hiring for positions like web developers, designers, a writer, project manager and account managers.

Pritchard said the draw is Anchour’s office culture and competitive pay and benefits.

According to its website, Anchour is a branding agency, doing everything from branding to full scale digital marketing campaigns, with clients like Sappi, Bosch, Dirigo Federal Credit Union, Baxter Brewing, DaVinci’s Eater and Kate Farms.

Anchour moved from Windham to downtown Lewiston in early 2016. At that time, Pritchard, then director of operations, told The Sun Journal the company wanted to be part of the Twin Cities’ upswing and 25% of its clients were already there.

Anchour’s presence is part of downtown Lewiston’s rebirth, which also features new retail, restaurants and residences that have been moving into historical buildings that have been bought and redeveloped. Anchour is at 223 Lisbon St.
