‘Bud and breakfast’ concept with edible marijuana gets test in Cornish

A twist on the bed-and-breakfast concept will offer complimentary edible marijuana products and happy hour during a three-week trial period at a Cornish inn.

The Journal Tribune reported that the trial run by Laughing Grass Inn, opening this month on a lease at the longtime Cornish Inn, has garnered opposition from local residents.

York County Sheriff William King told the paper his agency has received “a lot” of calls from people opposed to the three-week stint.

Leasor Trinity Madison, an artist and baker, told the paper, “I’m bringing money and tourism into Cornish and they’re treating me like I’m trying to do bad things for the town, that my actions are trying to ruin their reputation.”

She added, "If it is successful and the village decides that we can stay, I would be partnering up with" Cornish Inn owner Richard DeCourcey.
