Hermon True Value to open this weekend

A hardware store opening in Hermon's newest retail center is part of an expansion there expected to create as many as 50 full- and part-time jobs.

Hermon True Value at the Danforth Plaza will hold a grand opening Saturday at its 10,000-square-foot space, according to a press release. The store is owned by Rich Pfirman and Tom Tillson, who also own Tillson True Value in Dexter. Hermon officials last October announced that Hermon True Value and Family Dollar would open in Danforth Plaza this year, adding a total of 30,000 square feet and 50 jobs.

More than 80 jobs have been created at the shopping center since it opened last year, economic development director Ron Harriman told Mainebiz earlier this year.
