Maine Audubon director to step down

Ole Amundsen III has resigned as executive director of Maine Audubon after less than a year in the post, citing the desire to spend more time with his family, the Forecaster reported on Dec. 16.

He had joined Maine Audubon from the The Conservation Fund.

Andy Beahm, who was recently hired as deputy director, will serve as acting director until Amundsen’s replacement can be found. Beahm came from L.L.Bean.

Editor's note: An earlier version of this article misidentified where Amundsen had worked prior to Maine Audubon.
