N.J. man tapped as Saint Joseph's president
Saint Joseph's College has hired James Dlugos of New Jersey as its new president. He replaces Kenneth Lemanski, who is serving as interim president.
Dlugos is currently the vice president and dean for academic affairs at College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown, N.J., a position he has held since 2005, according to a press release. There, he led strategic planning efforts, a successful funding drive to renovate science laboratories, and the development of partnerships with community colleges, organizations and corporations. Previously he was vice president for academic affairs and dean of faculty at Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, Pa. He has bachelor's and master's degrees in English from Boston College.
Claire Bowen, chair of the Saint Joseph's College Board of Trustees, made the announcement yesterday. Dlugos will begin his new job in July.
