Oxford Networks to begin Brunswick expansion

Oxford Networks is scheduled to begin construction on a 7,000-square-foot expansion of its facility in Brunswick this month, following the company’s acquisition by the Montreal-based private equity firm Novacap.

The Times Record reported the company plans to hire 12 new employees as part of the expansion of its high-security data center at Brunswick Landing. The expansion will nearly double the number of employees at the data center, where approximately 15 of Oxford Networks’ 125 employees now work.

The newspaper reported the company’s investment would expand its cloud computing, data storage and backup and disaster recovery services. The Bangor Daily News reported a proxy statement put the acquisition price around $50 million.
