Portland music startup expects $2M in revenue this year

Sound Rink, a Portland-based music startup that sells VIP packages of touring musicians to fans, is expected to generate $2 million in revenue this year after starting two years ago.

The Portland Press Herald reported that the business is run by 25-year-old Cody DeLong, who started booking concerts in the New Hampshire area when he was 16.

DeLong told the newspaper that while no local jobs have been created yet, he hopes to add at least six jobs in the next five years. He said revenue is expected to grow to $20 million to $30 million within that period.
