Army Corps of Engineers to dredge Wells Harbor
The Army Corps of Engineers will dredge Wells Harbor at the end of this year after allocating $3.5 million in federal dollars to the project.
U.S. Sen. Angus King on Tuesday announced the award for the project, which comes as part of a Hurricane Sandy relief package Congress approved in late January.
King said that storm brought an influx of sand to the harbor, which has blocked passage in it except at high tide.
