Maine Development Foundation appoints interim leader

The Maine Development Foundation has named Cheryl B. Miller its interim CEO and president after the unexpected resignation of Ed Cervone in late August.

Prior to her appointment, Miller served as the senior program director. In that role, she was responsible for membership and fundraising at the foundation as well as the programs Leadership Maine and the Policy Leaders Academy. She began in that role with the foundation in 2000.

The foundation was created by state government in 1978 to support economic, work force, leadership and community development statewide. Aldo Servello, the chairman of the foundation’s board of directors, said a search for a permanent CEO and president is ongoing.
