$10M funding boost for public housing across Maine

Fifteen public housing authorities in Maine will share $10.7 million in federal funding to develop and upgrade affordable residential housing properties across the state.

Funding comes from the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Public Housing Capital Fund Formula Grant program.

“The dedicated staff at housing authorities throughout Maine work hard to connect seniors, individuals with disabilities, and low-income individuals and families to programs that help them improve their quality of life,” said U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, who chairs the Senate Appropriations Committee.
