More Information

Greatest achievement: Becoming the director of Bangor International Airport at age 32. For context, as a young professional, my career so far spans 12 years and the thought of becoming an airport director seemed in the distant future. I have been fortunate to come across great opportunities, which have enabled me to achieve my career goals sooner than anticipated.

Passion project: Having such a dynamic work environment, I find peace at home. My home is the place for me to disconnect, refresh and re-energize. Therefore, I find comfort in setting up and planning each room of my home. My favorite room in my home is my office and reading room because I get to work on other passion projects and activities.

Lightbulb moment: I recently completed a fellowship at Harvard University, where I had the opportunity to meet and interact with great minds from around the globe. These individuals, from many different industries, are working on various incredible infrastructure projects. My lightbulb recently went on as I was pondering how intriguing their work is and how best to showcase their work and experiences on my podcast.

Influential book: “The Lean Startup,” by Eric Ries.

Favorite TV show: “The Office”

Personal hero: My mother has been a role model for me my entire life. She was a compassionate soul and taught me the importance of being kind, passionate and having a fulfilling work ethic.

Favorite quote: “Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” — Theodore Roosevelt

Best way to recharge: I rarely have spare time, but when I do, I enjoy reading a good book, cooking and traveling. I find these activities personally fulfilling.

Maine’s biggest challenge: I believe the need for a more qualified workforce that is able to meet the employment needs of the moment is a primary challenge. We are at the juncture that intersects generations, technology innovations and personal expectations — all of which might look different than they did in the past. We must focus our attention on bridging the gap.

Dinner party guests: Benjamin Franklin, because he was known to enjoy himself at a party; Abraham Lincoln, because of his contributions to our society; Pope Leo XVI, because he would have plenty of things to share with Ben and Abe.
