Biz owners join private equity firm

A handful of former MBNA executives, including the owner of a Camden marina, have formed a private equity firm that recently finished its first transaction with an Illinois-based marketing intelligence company.

Cordjia, the Delaware-based firm which includes Shane Flynn, co-owner of Wayfarer Marine in Camden and former CEO of MBNA Europe, as well as Camden architect Blaine Buck, was the lead equity investor in a $27 million equity and debt investment in GOLIATH Solutions, according to a press release. Cordjia was founded last year.

Wayfarer Marine has sparked recent debate with its proposal to build condos along the Camden waterfront. For more on this, click here.
