MESDA is now TechMaine

Maine's software industry group has changed its name to the Technology Association of Maine.

Formerly known as MESDA, the organization made the announcement at its 15th annual meeting this week in South Portland.

The Westbrook-based organization, launched in 1992 as the Maine Software Developers Association, said the new name better reflects the diversity of its membership, from software developers to biotechnology companies.
