OSHA investigating death at Old Town mill

Federal safety regulators are investigating the death of a contractor at the Old Town pulp mill, where officials say the 54-year-old man fell into a hopper.

The Associated Press reported that Mark Guay, a truck driver for Richard Carrier Trucking, fell into the hopper, a bulk materials container, Tuesday afternoon after he fell from his trailer while he was preparing to deliver wood chips.

The incident is being investigating by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
