Portland-based law firm Preti Flaherty recently added three experienced attorneys to its team.
Chris McBrady is of counsel to the firm. He started his career practicing in the New York and Paris offices of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, before returning to Maine to continue his corporate and business practice, first at a York County-based law firm and then at his own firm.
At Preti Flaherty, McBrady advises clients on corporate law issues including mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities, and the structuring and execution of private investments.
Kelsey Kenny joins Preti Flaherty’s litigation practice group from Norman, Hansen & DeTroy LLC, another Portland law firm. At Preti Flaherty in Portland, her focus is medical malpractice and professional liability.
Michael Amato comes to Preti Flaherty’s litigation and energy practice groups from WilmerHale LLP, where he began his career after graduating from Georgetown University Law Center. He joins the firm’s office in Concord, N.H.
Following law school, Amato served as a clerk for Judge Carolyn N. Lerner on the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
“The arrival of these new colleagues reflects the firm’s commitment to delivering outstanding results to our clients and bolsters our stellar roster of litigators and business lawyers," said Michael Smith, Preti Flaherty’s managing partner.
Preti Flaherty, ranked Maine’s fifth-largest law firm in the 2025 Mainebiz Book of Lists, also has an office in Augusta as well as in Concord, N.H., and Boston.
With the new hires, Preti Flaherty employs 61 attorneys in Maine.
