Great Diamond Partners, a Portland-based wealth management firm led by Helen Andreoli, announced two hires that will bring the team total to 12 and potentially boost assets under management to $765 million.
Stephen Poulos, formerly a partner and portfolio manager with HeadInvest, has joined Great Diamond Partners as a senior financial advisor, bringing with him more than $125 million in potential assets under management.
Before the hire, Great Diamond Partners had managed around $640 million in assets as of May 15.
Poulos grew up in Maine and lives in the Portland area and has served as president of the Pine Tree Society, a nonprofit that helps individuals disabilities lead richer, more socially connected lives while providing their families with support.
“Steve’s experience, character, and dedication to clients make him an ideal addition to our team,” Andreoli said. “He shares our belief that doing what’s right for the client is the only way to build trust and drive long-term success.”
At Great Diamond Partners, Poulos will focus on advanced financial planning, investment strategy and tax-focused advisory work.
“This transition is about creating the best outcomes for the families I work with,” he said. “Great Diamond offers the structure, culture and team support to deliver even more value.”
The Maine firm also recently welcomed Mark Doehla, formerly with H.M. Payson, as a portfolio manager.
“Team growth and talent acquisition have been recent areas of focus for us,” said Jack Piper, a founding partner at Great Diamond Partners. “Mark’s experience across multiple asset classes and his ability to communicate clearly with clients are invaluable qualities.”
Great Diamond Partners, founded in 2019 by a group of ex-UBS bankers, is a member of the Dynasty Network of independent firms with New York-based Dynasty Financial Partners handling back and middle-office duties.
