Smith & Wesson withholds FY08 report

Smith & Wesson, a Springfield, Mass.-based gun manufacturer with a facility in Houlton, today said it would not issue financial guidance for the remainder of its 2008 fiscal year, which ends in April, because of an "unsettled" business climate, according to a press release. On Dec. 6, the company had projected $300 million in net sales for 2008, a 28% increase over fiscal year 2007.
