Poll results

Social media has become an excellent tool for promoting a business. Many companies encourage employees to use social media during work hours to stay in touch with members of the business community.

However, instead of making a cup of coffee and getting straight to work, some employees use this time to scroll or even shop online.

Last week, in the Mainebiz 'By the Numbers,' published on Tuesday, we shared a survey conducted by HostingAdvice. The survey determined which websites employees visit first thing in the morning.

According to the survey, workers spend an average of 16 minutes browsing their personal social media accounts before actually starting to do any work tasks.
