The 2024 Paris Olympics are underway, and Maine is well represented at the Games.
To begin with, a Mainer is competing — 28-year-old Clara Brown, originally from Falmouth, who is part of the U.S. Paracycling team.
In addition, two Maine businesses have worked with clothier Ralph Lauren to outfit the members of Team USA.
Rancourt, a family-owned business in Lewiston, made the buck shoe American athletes wore at the opening ceremony and will wear again at the closing one on Aug. 11. And Rogue Industries, a Standish business that's known for its leather goods, has made a military-style belt for the team uniforms.
Other Maine companies are showing their support for the U.S. Olympic team, even if indirectly. At Mainebiz, we're having a watch party Thursday afternoon. How about you?
