In addition to in-person resources, we recently launched a new, mobile-friendly Virtual CareerCenter, which offers employment and training resources, job search tools and expert guidance all in one place.

One such resource is the Maine Apprenticeship Program. For some of us, the classroom isn’t where we do our best learning. That’s where becoming an apprentice can really make a difference. You’ll be matched with the right people who can put you on the best path to the career you want, while earning a paycheck, and building the life in Maine you’re looking for.

In a Registered Apprenticeship, you are an employee earning money while you learn skills in your chosen industry, such as:

  • Health care
  • Construction
  • Manufacturing
  • Clean Energy and Infrastructure
  • Information Technology
  • Education
  • Hospitality
  • And more

Our mission is to make it so anyone in Maine, age 16 and up, can gain the skills they need through hands-on learning. And apprentices earn $300,000-plus more over their lifetimes than their peers who don’t complete a program.

Not sure what career you are interested in? Use our career exploration tool, a discovery dashboard for students and jobseekers to explore the many career options available in Maine, and the educational or training requirements necessary to pursue a career path.

Or, do you know what you are looking for and want to start applying to jobs? Browse our Maine JobLink, upload your resume, and start applying.
