Greatest achievement: Receiving the Volunteer of the Year award from the Portland Regional Chamber was a meaningful recognition of my leadership in the Greater Portland community.

Passion project: Supporting emerging professionals is a passion of mine, and I’ve been fortunate to channel that through my volunteer work with PROPEL. I believe it’s essential to create spaces where leaders at all stages of their careers can connect, collaborate and contribute to the broader community.

Lightbulb moment: A friend and I organized one of Portland’s first post-pandemic networking events. Though we had limited experience, I was proud to help create something that resonated with the business community. The impact of that event inspired me to keep seeking opportunities where I could contribute meaningfully and add value to the broader business landscape.

Influential book: “Freakonomics: A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything,” by Stephen J. Dubner and Steven Levitt

Favorite TV show: “Curb Your Enthusiasm”

Personal hero: My parents have been essential role models whose support, guidance and examples have shaped who I am today.

Favorite quote: “There are no evil thoughts except one: the refusal to think.” — Ayn Rand

Free time activities: Spending time with my wife, Olivia, is my favorite way to unwind. We love hiking, running, paddling and just being outdoors together. After a day full of adventure, there is nothing better than relaxing with a craft beer and some great music.

Maine’s biggest challenge: One of Maine’s most pressing challenges is the housing crisis. I’ve seen many talented Mainers leave in search of better opportunities. While efforts to grow the workforce are promising, we haven’t kept up with the demand for affordable housing or created enough sustainable career paths to support living here.

Dream dinner guests: Conan O’Brien, John D. Rockefeller and Adolphus Busch. Every dinner party needs someone to keep people laughing and I am fascinated by the characters of the Gilded Age.
