Builder E.W. Littlefield and Sons is wrapping construction on a 25-unit affordable senior housing project in Farmington.
Construction of a 25-unit affordable housing complex for residents ages 55 and up in Farmington is 75% completed and is expected to welcome residents in early 2026.
The 20,278-square-foot Edgewater Village is an Avesta Housing project. All 25 apartments are one-bedroom and 576 square feet. Rents range from $851 to $972 and all utilities including air conditioning are covered in the lease rate.
Rod Harmon, communications manager at Portland-based Avesta, said this is the first Avesta affordable housing development in Farmington.
"There is a growing need for safe, quality, affordable homes for older adults in rural areas such as Farmington, and Avesta is committed to helping address that need."
The project is located on Willow Springs Drive near walking trails and a pond, about one mile from downtown Farmington.
Total cost of the project is $9.5 million and is being built by Hartland-based E.W. Littlefield & Sons. Portland-based Kaplan Thompson Architects handled design.
Units are being pre-leased; interested applicants can email Info@avestahousing.org or call 207-245-3255.
