Bank helps fund affordable housing

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston said yesterday it is giving $4.1 million in grants, loans and rate subsidies to eight organizations in Maine to build affordable housing here.

The following organizations will share the pot: Bread of Life Ministries in Augusta, Habitat for Humanity in Bath and Bristol, Camden Affordable Housing Organization in Camden, The Housing Partnership in Kennebunk, WHA in Waterville, Community Housing of Maine in Vinalhaven, Tedford Housing in Lewiston and Penquis CAP in Lincoln.
