FairPoint adds Bangor jobs
FairPoint Communications this morning announced it would add 38 jobs at its call center and finance department in Bangor.
The additions come after the company recently added 57 call-center jobs in Portland. With the new positions in Bangor, FairPoint has added 63 new jobs in the city since the company began taking over Verizon's northern New England operations earlier this year.
FairPoint officials also said this morning that the company would revise last year's estimate that it would create 280 jobs in Maine. Now the company says it expects to hire closer to 400 new workers during the takeover of Verizon.
