Lewiston wants an energy specialist
The city of Lewiston is looking to hire a new "energy czar" to ensure all city departments are energy efficient.
The city began advertising the position last weekend, seeking someone with the expertise to advise city departments on how to cut energy use and costs, the Sun Journal reported.
Councilors approved the idea this past spring, and City Administrator Jim Bennett told the newspaper that Lewiston will make the position long-term if the new hire successfully cuts expenses.
