Following February fire, Portland eatery relocating to Westbrook

Christian DeLuca, the owner of Brea Lu Cafe, has a possible new location for the breakfast and lunch eatery, whose original site was damaged in a Valentine’s Day fire.

The Portland Press Herald reports that Brea Lu’s newest home, pending approval from city officials in Westbrook, will be at 9 Cumberland St. If approved, DeLuca hopes to open by August.

“We want to do exactly what we were doing (in Portland) but better,” DeLuca told the Press Herald. “And as we grow, our menu will grow.”
