Machias Savings Bank has hired Tara Perruzzi as a senior vice president for commercial banking in southern Maine.
Perruzzi has more than 30 years of retail and commercial banking experience, with a strong focus on the health care sector.
“Adding Tara to our Southern Maine team is an exciting step for Machias Savings Bank,” said Alex Lopes, senior vice president and southern Maine regional market manager. “Her proven track record in commercial lending and her strong client relationships will help us continue to deliver on our commitment to helping Maine businesses thrive.”
Perruzzi has held leadership roles at M&T Bank, People's United Bank and TD Bank.
“I joined Machias Savings Bank because of its genuine dedication to Maine businesses and its reputation for finding solutions that help customers succeed,” she said.
Perruzzi earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Southern Maine. She serves as board vice chair for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maine.
Machias Savings ranked No. 6 among Maine-based banks in the 2025 Mainebiz Book of Lists, based on assets as of June 30, 2024. Machias Savings has $2.6 billion in assets, 334 employees and 15 branches from Portland to Caribou.
