Mass. co. will build Calais border crossing

The federal government has awarded a Massachusetts company a $48.3 million contract to construct a new border crossing at Calais.

J.J. Contractors Inc., based in Lowell, Mass., will begin construction on the project, which is designed to ease congestion at two nearby border crossings, in February.
