Drummond Woodsum, a law firm in Portland, promoted William Stockmeyer to managing director. Stockmeyer’s practice focuses on advising schools, municipalities and other local government entities on a wide variety of financial and business matters.

Bath Savings hired Eric Berube as vice president, information security officer and Stacey Chenevert as vice president, retail lending. Berube was chief information security officer at Bowdoin College while Chenevert has 35 years of experience in the financial industry.

Health Affiliates Maine in Auburn hired Bryan Kahn as director of business management. Kahn most recently served as senior consultant at Healthscape Advisors in Boston.

The Maine Brewers’ Guild hired Sarah Bryan as executive director. Bryan was previously director of operations and branding for Après, a craft-complementary hard cider and seltzer startup in Portland.

The Campaign for Justice in Portland hired Jane Driscoll as director.

Spinnaker Trust, a wealth management firm in Portland, hired Eugenio Figarella as assistant portfolio manager. Figarella was previously a senior portfolio manager at BiscayneAmericas Advisers LLC, a Miami-based institutional investment advisory firm.

Pierce Atwood, a law firm in Portland, hired Sonia Buck as a business law attorney. Buck was most recently a senior attorney at Brock & Scott PLLC where she focused on commercial default workouts, loan modifications, mortgage foreclosures, corporate power of sale transfers, lien enforcement and bankruptcy.

The Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce in Rockland hired Shannon Landwehr as president and CEO.

The Chocolate Church Arts Center in Bath hired Matthew Glassman as executive and artistic director. Glassman was previously co-artistic director and ensemble member of Double Edge Theatre in Ashfield, Mass.

Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution hired Gillian Ballute as vice president and compliance manager, John Ruppert as vice president and information security officer, Shane Arnold as a compliance specialist, Jackson Cust as a customer relationship officer in Scarborough and Jeannie Stanhope as the executive assistant to the CEO and president. Ballute most recently worked as a compliance manager at Stone Coast Fund Services, Ruppert was assistant vice president of network security at Bath Savings Institution, Arnold was a risk and financial advisory consultant at Deloitte and Touche LLP, Cust was a financial advisor at Means Wealth Management and Stanhope was a consumer bank branch manager at Bangor Savings Bank.

The Maine Community Foundation in Ellsworth promoted Brendon Reay to chief investment officer, Liana Kingsbury to senior director of nonprofit agency funds and Jennifer Richard to senior director of planned giving.

University of Maine at Farmington promoted Joseph McDonnell to president. McDonnell had been serving as interim president of the university since July 2022.

Southworth International Group Inc., a Falmouth-based global manufacturer of ergonomic material handling solutions, promoted Ben Redfield to chief revenue officer and Jon Robertson to chief innovation officer. In the firm’s Americas division, Matt Laufik was promoted to sales director and Peter Foshay to customer support and parts manager.

Northern Light Inland Hospital promoted Rose Rogers to director of Northern Light Walk-In Care in Waterville and the Emergency Department.

Mission Broadband in Bangor promoted Jason Gay to vice president and general manager. Gay was previously a network engineer/project manager.

Camden National Bank promoted Barbara Raths to executive vice president of commercial banking. Raths was previously director of treasury management and government banking.

Appointments

The Maine Water Utilities Association elected Mike Cummons as president. Cummons is vice president at Maine Water.

Berman & Simmons, a law firm in Lewiston, said that attorney Elizabeth Kayatta was elected co-chair of the women’s law section of the Maine Bar Association and that attorney Chris Boots was elected as a board member for the Maine Trial Lawyers Association.

Achievements

Diane Dunton Bruni, board chair, president and founding member of the nonprofit Sebago Lakes Region Fuller Center for Housing, was named one of “20 Outstanding Women 2024,” an annual award given by The Portland Radio Group and Hannaford Supermarkets.

Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington presented the “DAISY Award” to Kaitlyn Dube, a registered nurse. The award is part of an international program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary clinical skills and compassionate care given by nurses every day.

WMTW and Hearst Television in Portland announced that WeatheRate, an independent research company that tracks and verifies forecasts across the country, certified Maine’s Total Weather as the “Most Accurate Forecast in Maine.”

Binnie Media in Portland said that Country 99.9 The Wolf has been nominated for “Radio Station of the Year” in the medium market category as part of the Academy of Country Music Radio Awards.
