New hires

Yokogawa Fluid Imaging Technologies, a life sciences technology company in Scarborough, hired Erin Cunningham as human resources director, John Yin as eastern U.S. sales manager, David Jacobs as manufacturing technician, Robert Hicks as field service engineer and Sandra Falton as senior bookkeeper.

Norway Savings Bank hired Jackie Curtis as vice president, human resources. Curtis has 20 years of human resources experience in the banking and health industries.

ORPC, a renewable energy company in Portland, hired Kaelin Chancey as mechanical engineer, Kathryn Sellers Reynolds as regulatory affairs manager, Liam Pillsbury as an ocean engineer, Marie Webb as manager of manufacturing and logistics, Morgan Welton as grant and technical writer and Ryan Cardinal as project manager.

Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington hired Jeffrey Lynds as a family medicine physician at Franklin Health Farmington Family Practice. Most recently, Lynds provided full-spectrum family medicine for all ages at Swift River Family Medicine in Rumford.

Maine Association of Nonprofits in Portland hired Eleanor Nazar as program coordinator. Nazar was most recently with the city of Portland’s Public Health Department.

Maine Realty Advisors in Portland hired Amanda Melnick as an advisor.

Carden Kennels in Bangor hired Alexandra Michel as kennel manager.

Aquarius Property Management in Portland hired Amber Maurais as residential property manager.

The Portland Housing Authority hired Sarah Dodge as director of finance. Dodge was previously with the Maine Office of the State Auditor, where she was an audit manager.

Eastern Maine Development Corp. in Bangor hired Christopher Paradis as a member of its Procurement Technical Assistance Center. Paradis was previously with Maine’s Community College System.

Volk Paxit, a contract packaging company in Sanford, hired Corey Laplume as sales operations executive. Laplume was formerly employed by Volk Packaging Corp.

Promotions

Bar Harbor Bank & Trust promoted Chelsea Sawyer to vice president, branch relationship manager in Ellsworth. Sawyer was previously assistant vice president, branch relationship manager.

The County Federal Credit Union in Presque Isle promoted Dennis Rogeski to retail services manager, Northern Region. Rogeski was most recently manager of the credit union’s indirect department in Caribou.

The Episcopal Diocese of Maine promoted Katie Clark to canon for communications. Clark was previously director of communications.

Great Diamond Partners, a wealth management firm in Portland, promoted Helen Andreoli to president. Andreoli was previously CFO.

Systems Engineering, a managed IT and security services firm in Portland, promoted Erik Thomas to director of advisory services.

Appointments

Fork Food Lab in Portland added Penny Jordan, Hema Narayanan and Lynne Wilkie to its board of directors. Jordan is a fourth-generation farmer in Cape Elizabeth, Narayanan is founder of Epicurious Foods and Wilkie is a sales executive with career experience in the food and beverage industry.

AARP Maine State Director Noël Bonam was confirmed to the Maine State Housing Authority’s board of commissioners by the Maine Senate Labor and Housing Committee. The board’s primary role is to oversee the development and administration of several state and federal housing-related programs for the people of Maine.

The Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce announced its annual business awards. Winners were Steve Schley, “Norbert X. Maine Medical Center in Portland earned a three-year accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer, a quality program of the American College of Surgeons. The center said it is one of two programs in New England and only 45 in the nation to achieve this recognition.

Preti Flaherty, a law firm in Portland, said it was named “2022 Litigation Firm of the Year in the State of Maine” by Benchmark Litigation.

Thomas College in Waterville announced that Laurie Lachance, president, received the American Heart Association’s “Crystal Heart Award” at the 2022 Go Red for Women Luncheon by the American Heart Association.

Legacy Properties Sotheby’s International Realty, a luxury property company in Portland, said that it ranked No. 497 on the By Volume list in the RealTrends 500 national brokerage rankings for 2022.

The Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce posthumously selected Luke Gross as its “Citizen of the Year” award winner. Gross was a deputy for 18 years at the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department.

Penobscot Community Health Care in Bangor was designated a health care equality leader by the Human Rights Campaign for the 12th straight year. The health care organization received an evaluation of 100 and the designation of “LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Leader” in the 15th anniversary edition of the Healthcare Equality Index.

F.L. Putnam Investment Management Co. in Portland announced that Robertson Breed, managing director of investment advisory services, was named to the Barron’s “Top 1,200 Financial Advisors by State” list, ranking No. 2 in the state of Maine.

Systems Engineering, a managed IT and security services firm in Portland, said that it earned Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Registered Provider Organization status. The designation is a necessary credential to provide guidance to defense contractors and subcontractors who are required to adhere to the certification framework.

Volk Packaging Corp. in Biddeford named Chris LaMarche, machine operator, as its “Associate of the Quarter Award” winner.
