New hires

Sarah Timm

The Portland Museum of Art hired Sarah Timm as Peggy L. Osher head of education. Previously, Timm was director of education at the Maine Maritime Museum.

Portside Real Estate Group in Falmouth hired Christina Frost as agent relations manager for Portside Portsmouth, N.H., and principal broker for Portside in the North Shore area of Massachusetts.

Rinck Advertising in Lewiston hired Grace Jones as social media manager. Jones was previously social media designer at Pathfinders Advertising.

Airtower Networks, a national provider of wireless connectivity solutions for real estate owners and operators with an office in Portland, hired Ezra Hug as account director.

Spinnaker Trust, a financial planner in Portland, hired Mariah Mitchell as vice president, associate chief trust officer. Mitchell was previously trust officer at H.M. Payson & Co.

Gagne & Son, a concrete, masonry and hardscape firm in Belgrade, hired Conor Cooper as CEO.

Educate Maine hired Jodi Mezzanotte as director of education engagement. Mezzanotte has two decades of experience working in Maine schools as a K-8 teacher, assistant principal, principal and assistant superintendent.

Promotions

Coastal Enterprises Inc., a Brunswick-based community development financial institution, promoted Kelsie Bouchard to chief lending and investment officer. Bouchard most recently served as director of CEI notes and portfolio management.

Sargent Corp., a general contractor in Orono, promoted Doug Morrison to vice president of operations and COO-north and Justin Porter to vice president of operations and COO-south. Morrison was most recently vice president of operations for New England while Porter was vice president of operations for the MidAtlantic region.

Consigli Construction Co. Inc. in Portland promoted Travis Kirby to project executive and Brian Campbell to general superintendent. Kirby was previously senior project manager while Campbell was senior superintendent.

Landry/French Construction in Scarborough promoted Mason Rowell to senior vice president of operations. Mason was vice president of preconstruction.

Animal Welfare Society in Kennebunk promoted Astrid Wielens to interim executive director. Wielens was previously director of administration.

Achievements

Keller Williams Realty Maine in Portland said it was No. 171 in the “2025 Mega 1000,” a national ranking of real estate brokerages based on 2024 residential sales volume.

RE/MAX Shoreline in Portland announced that Andy Yau was named a “2025 Torchbearer,” recognizing the top-performing RE/MAX agents under the age of 40 across the U.S. and Canada based on transaction volume and gross commission income.

Michelle Joler-Labbe, vice president of human resources at Thomas College in Waterville, received the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce’s “Elias A. Joseph Award” for exceptional service to her community.

Ocean State Job Lot, a discount closeout retailer with multiple locations in Maine, announced it was selected as a “2025 U.S. Best Managed Company” by Deloitte Private and the Wall Street Journal.

Whitten Architects in Portland announced that it received three American Institute of Architects Maine Design Awards. The firm captured the “Honor Award” for the Narrows in the single family residential category, a “Citation Award” for Tidehead Woods House and an “Architrave Award” for Falls Pasture.

Haley Ward Inc., an employee-owned professional engineering and architecture firm in Bangor, announced that two of its projects, Vertical Harvest in Westbrook, and the Tekαkαpimək Contact Station at Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument, were each recognized with a “MEREDA Notable Project Award.”

The Maine Department of Education and the Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future were recognized nationally with the “2025 Difference Makers Award” by Project Green Schools for their collaboration on the Green Schools Initiative, a statewide effort to support Maine schools in improving energy efficiency, saving public funds and reducing pollution in the state’s pre-K through grade 12 schools.

BigRock Mountain in Mars Hill said that it received the National Ski Areas Association’s “Best Guest Safety Program Award” for its Ski4Life Button Program.

Orange Bike Brewing Co., a dedicated gluten-free brewery in Portland, earned a silver medal at the 2025 World Beer Cup for its Winter Lager in the gluten-free beer category.

Derek Volk, owner of Volk Packaging Corp. in Biddeford, won the London Book Festival’s “Best Business Book” with his latest publication, “Go for Third: Leadership Lessons from the Softball Field to the Workplace.”
