New hires

Changing Seasons Federal Credit Union in Hampden hired Rob Picard as president and CEO. Picard, who has 12 years of banking experience, was previously head of member services and lending development for Franklin-Somerset Federal Credit Union.

Bar Harbor Bank & Trust hired Jennifer Seekins as senior vice president, treasury services sales manager based in the bank’s Hampden office and Luke Cote as assistant vice president, mortgage loan originator in Topsham. Seekins has worked in the financial services industry for 25 years, mostly recently as chief treasury services and business development officer at Androscoggin Bank in Lewiston while Cote has worked in the banking industry since 2013.

WBRC Architects Engineers in Bangor hired Stefanie Wason as an architect. Wason was previously at Apicella & Bunton in New Haven, Conn.

Hospice of Southern Maine in Scarborough hired Marjorie Schoonover as clinical nurse manager. Schoonover is a registered nurse with a certification in hospice and palliative care nursing.

The Boulos Co., a commercial real estate firm in Portland, hired Melanie Mauro and Noah Stebbins as associates. Mauro was a licensed clinical social worker, operating her own practice and working for nonprofit agencies while Stebbins worked in business development for HubSpot.

University of Maine at Farmington hired Christine Wilson as vice president for student affairs. Wilson was with the University of Connecticut as assistant vice president for student affairs and director of student activities.

Covetrus, an animal-health technology and services firm in Portland, hired Dustin Finer as chief people officer. Finer was previously chief administrative and internal operations officer at TiVo.

Creative Office Pavilion in Portland hired Travis Parker and Alyssa Kidger as members of its interior construction team, Casey Whitney as a member of its design team and Zoe Fluet was hired to assist the client experience team.

Sea Bags, a Portland-based designer and manufacturer of handmade items from recycled sails, hired Nicole Hardy as wholesale channel manager. Hardy spent the last four years as general manager of the Pottery Barn store in South Portland.

Northern Light Acadia Hospital in Bangor hired John Campbell as senior physician executive. Campbell previously held several physician leadership roles at the Henry Ford Health System, Maine Medical Center, Maine Behavioral Healthcare and as a member of the U.S. Air Force.

Newcastle Realty in Damariscotta hired Jim Matel and Alitha Young as sales agents.

RE/MAX Shoreline in Portland hired Jodi Federle as an agent.

Opus Consulting Group, a management consulting services firm in Portland, hired Jasmine Proctor. Proctor specializes in technical writing, project management and market research.

Promotions

The Boulos Co., a commercial real estate firm in Portland, promoted Nick Lucas to associate broker. Lucas previously represented landlords and tenants in lease and sale transactions as an associate.

Creative Office Pavilion in Portland promoted Stephanie Wihbey to director of sales. Wihbey was previously an account executive.

Trademark Federal Credit Union in Augusta promoted Angela Ross to risk management associate, Chip Clary to vice president of information technology, Cindy Grasse to vice president of lending, Jessica Schneckloth to vice president of service and operations, Melissa Goode to brand manager and Melissa Savage to member services representative.

St. Andre Home Inc. in Biddeford promoted Savanna Power to director of CourageLIVES, Maine’s first long-term residential treatment program for women who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation and provider of outpatient services that support survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence and sexual assault. Power, who has worked with the program for five years, was most recently the clinician.

Appointments

Infinity Federal Credit Union in Westbrook said it received two “2019 Bronze New England Direct Marketing Association Awards” for creative excellence for its Youth Adventure Accounts and its 2018 Annual Report.

Maine Municipal Association in Augusta recognized five municipalities for producing the highest-quality annual reports. Cumberland was named “supreme” for populations 5,000 and over: Vassalboro, Supreme, populations 2,500 to 4,999; Phippsburg, supreme, populations 1,000 to 2,499; Carrabassett Valley, supreme, populations 500 to 999; and Cranberry Isles, supreme, populations under 500.

United Midcoast Charities in Camden named Linford Young its “Unsung Hero Award” winner. Young is a youth mentor and volunteer at the Game Loft in Belfast.

Murray Plumb & Murray, a law firm in Portland, said eight of its attorneys were named to the U.S. News Media Group and Best Lawyers “2020 Best Lawyers in America” list. In addition, Richard O’Meara was named a “Lawyer of the Year” in the practice area of appellate practice, arbitration, bet-the-company litigation, civil rights law, commercial litigation, education law and litigation (labor and employment).

Acadia National Park named Bill Zoellick, director of education research emeritus at Schoodic Institute, its “2019 Acadia Partners Award” winner. Zoellick was selected for his vision and dedication in the development of the institute, the nonprofit science and education organization that works with the National Park Service to lead the Research Learning Center on the Schoodic Peninsula.

Camden National Bank selected Mark O’Donal, banking center manager in Camden, “Officer of the Year” at its annual employee appreciation event. Channel 8 WMTW in Portland was named “Best Newscast” at the 2019 Maine Association of Broadcasters News and Creative Awards ceremony. The station was also recognized in the categories of “Best Spot News,” “Best Sportscast,” “Best Weathercast” and “Best Enterprise.”

Rinck Advertising in Lewiston said it won the “Exclusive Content Strategy” category in the 2019 PR Daily Media Relations Awards. The firm was selected for its project with client VetriScience Laboratories that resulted in a CBS Evening News story about the pay-it-forward kindness of Lewiston resident and Army veteran Christy Gardner.

Maine Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy named Raelene Allen of Madison High School and Samantha Drost of Central Aroostook High School as recipients of its “2019-20 Financial Educators of the Year Award.”

Camden National Corp., the parent company of Camden National Bank, said it was one of 30 publicly traded banks and thrifts — and the only bank headquartered in New England — to be named to the “Sandler O’Neill Sm-All Stars Class of 2019.” To be considered, companies needed to have a market capitalization below $2.5 billion, a category that includes 394 depository institutions nationally.

The Maine Manufacturing Extension Partnership in Augusta named Steel-Pro Inc., a custom equipment manufacturer based in Rockland, its “2019 Manufacturing Excellence Award” winner.
