Portland to be home to sixth U.S. O bag location
Custom Italian handbag store O bag will be opening its sixth location in the country in Portland’s Old Port during the first week of July.
Jo Hoppe, the owner of the soon-to-be-opened 191 Middle St. store, told the Portland Press Herald that customers of O bag will choose their own bag style and color, then select their own border, liner and strap before the bag is assembled in the store.
“The pieces all come together,” Hoppe told the Press Herald. “It takes 5 minutes to put together and an hour to decide all the options.”
The Portland location will employ three full-time workers in addition to an “uncertain” number of part-time workers, according the Press Herald.
