Portland tech consultant Tidestone Solutions merges with national firm

Portland consulting firm Tidestone Solutions has merged with Wipfli LLP, a nationwide accounting and consulting firm headquartered in Milwaukee.
Tidestone’s leader and employees will join Wipfli’s South Portland office, according to a news release, which did not disclose terms of the deal.
“We are excited to join forces with Wipfli so our clients can benefit from the broader capabilities we can provide them to serve their growing needs, including Wipfli’s suite of industry-specific software products, and their ability to help us grow the YourCloud practice,” Sandra Wyman, Tidestone’s president and CEO, said in the release.
“For our employees, being part of a national consulting firm will allow their talents to be broadened through the variety of projects and the career development opportunities.”
Founded in 1995, Tidestone Solutions is an accounting software company. Its website lists nine staff members.
Tidestone has focused on Microsoft Dynamics software implementations. The firm has received several honors, including being recognized as a Microsoft ERP Silver Certified Partner.
In 2013, Wyman was included on a list of honorable mentions by Enterprising Women magazine for its Enterprising Women of the Year award. The award honors women business owners with fast-growth businesses who mentor or actively support other women and girls involved in entrepreneurship and stand out as leaders in their communities.
Wyman now holds the position of director at Wipfli. She has over 25 years of technology consulting experience, including over 17 years implementing and supporting enterprise resource planning solutions for customers in New York and New England.
With the acquisition, Wipfli now has more than 2,600 associates and 50 offices across the U.S. The firm was founded in 1930.
