Prime Motor sells Kia, Nissan dealerships

Prime Motor Group has sold its Kia and Nissan car dealerships on Route 1 in Saco to Bill Waldron, the owner of Portland Volvo and Portland Saab in Scarborough.
Ira Rosenberg, Prime's owner, has already closed a deal to sell the Nissan dealership, while he expects to transfer ownership of the Kia dealership in the next few days, according to the Portland Press Herald. The sale price was not disclosed. Rosenberg, 74, told the paper his age was one reason he decided to downsize his dealership holdings. Following the sales, the company will have six dealerships in Saco and Scarborough.
Waldron last year bought Jolly John Auto City in Saco for an undisclosed price.
