Saco & Biddeford Savings has hired Beth Burcke as the bank's first-ever chief people officer to lead human resources across the organization.
Burcke brings more than two decades of human resources leadership to the position.
Career highlights include roles at the Brooks School in North Andover, Mass.; Newburyport Bank, also in Massachusetts; and, most recently, as executive vice president and chief human resources officer at River Run Services LLC in Newburyport.
She received her bachelor's degree in professional development and human resources from the University of New Hampshire and her master's in higher education from J. Jeffrey and Ann Marie Fox Graduate School at Pennsylvania State University.

With $1.4 billion in assets as of June 30, 2024, Saco & Biddeford Savings ranked No. 12 among Maine-based banks in the 2025 Mainebiz Book of Lists.
The bank, founded in 1827, has branches in Saco, Biddeford, Old Orchard Beach, Portland, Scarborough, South Portland and Westbrook.
