SCORE annual luncheon will honor Maine small business leaders

The Maine District office of SCORE will honor eight business leaders at its annual awards luncheon this Wednesday at the Hilton Garden Inn in Freeport.

Beth Greenlaw, CEO of Portland-based Sea Bags, will be the keynote speaker. 

Success Award recipients will honor business owners in categories including veteran-owned, and agriculture, home based and women owned.

The honorees will be:

  • Jeff Holley, Ripple Retreat Event Center
  • Rhiannon Hampson, Grace Pond Farm
  • Hailey Lister and Max Meade, Alivo
  • Josh Corbeau, Cloudport
  • Cara Taggersall, Midcoast Fencing Athletic Club
  • Amanda Myers, Bark and Bubbles
  • Valentina and Alex Weissenfluh, Edelweiss Pastry Shop
  • Judi Michalik, Judi Michalick Photography

SCORE is a national organization that provides mentoring and educational opportunities to small businesses and entrepreneurs. Nancy Strojny is SCORE’s deputy district director for Maine and will present the awards Wednesday.

Maine Technology Institute and the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development are the luncheon's sponsors.
