Table games 8% of Hollywood Casino gambling revenue
Bangor's Hollywood Casino reported its table gaming expansion has, in its first year, generated $7.6 million for the Pennsylvania-based company.
The Bangor Daily News reported that the casino's overall revenue for 2012 edged out a previous record by nearly $3 million. From the casino's 923 slot machines, the casino reported generating around $53.7 million, bringing its total take for the year to nearly $61.3 million.
That means the casino's 16 table games — including blackjack, roulette and several poker games — made up nearly 8% of the casino's total take.
Casino officials told the paper that slot machine revenues for 2013 are already down from last year's numbers, but the addition of table games is helping to make up some of the difference.
