Got a gripe about overlap among state agencies? A state task force is asking for public comments on ways to streamline the state agencies that deal with natural resources and the environment.
The Natural Resources Agency Task Force was formed last spring when the Legislature approved funding to look at how the state could reduce redundancies among state agencies while finding more ways for those agencies to work together, according to the Bangor Daily News. "All ideas and organizational configurations are on the table," Karin Tilburg, senior policy adviser to Gov. John Baldacci and co-chair of the task force, told the paper.
