UMaine Augusta, Fort Kent hire interim leaders

Two Maine university officials have been named as interim leaders for the University of Maine System’s campuses in Augusta and Fort Kent.

The Maine Public Broadcasting Network reported that Rebecca Wyke, UMaine System’s vice chancellor of finance and administration, will become UMaine Augusta’s interim president. She is taking over the position from Glenn Cummings, who was recently named as the University of Southern Maine’s permanent leader.

John Murphy, UMaine Fort Kent’s chief financial officer, will become that university's interim president, replacing William Hess, who is retiring.
