Bangor-based professional services firm Haley Ward Inc. continues to drive growth through acquisitions.

The addition of CCA LLC in Brookfield, Conn., establishes Haley Ward’s third Connecticut office. It is based in Fairfield County, near Danbury. Elsewhere in the Nutmeg State, Haley Ward has offices in Glastonbury and Winsted, both in the Hartford market.

CCA consults in civil engineering, surveying and environmental consulting and adds a new service for Haley Ward — landscape architecture.

The deal follows others in recent years, including the purchase of Dario Designs Inc., an international architectural and operational consulting firm based in Northborough, Mass., and Final Draft CAD LLC, a building information modeling firm based in Portland.

In 2024, Haley Ward’s growing ways prompted the firm to relocate its Portland office to a larger space at 12 Mountfort St.

Haley Ward is an employee-owned engineering, architectural, environmental and surveying consulting firm with 136 employees in Maine and 300 overall, including staff in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Florida.

Growth strategy

“Our growth strategy revolves around combining regional presence with technical breadth,” said Travis Noyes, chief operating officer.

CCA’s practice in civil engineering and landscape architecture and planning complements Haley Ward’s capabilities, he added.

“Adding a third office in Connecticut strengthens our local footprint and enables us to serve clients with more employees, more connectivity and a broader service portfolio, including the landscape architecture piece that has become increasingly critical to site and infrastructure work,” said Denis St Peter, president and CEO.

CCA’s entire staff will continue as employees of Haley Ward, said Steven Sullivan, CCA’s vice president. The deal provides expanded opportunities for professional growth and could accelerate service innovation and elevate CCA’s value to clients throughout Connecticut and beyond, he added.

During the transition, the firm will operate as CCA, a division of Haley Ward.

Haley Ward ranked No. 9 among the state's largest engineering firms in the 2025 Mainebiz Book of Lists.
