A 2023 Forbes column defined summer hours as a typical work week, Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

While many companies may offer summer hours, other Maine businesses are geared towards the summer tourism season — that is when they work the longest hours.
