On May 24, Maine ended public health requirements for the use of face coverings, and many businesses have embraced the change as a welcome return to "normalcy." But some aren't quite ready to make the transition.
Mask mandates set by businesses themselves continue to trump the state policy, and on Sunday a variety of Maine restaurants, retailers and other businesses still required the coverings for customers and employees. At other establishments, customers wore masks even though none were required.
The new state policy also continues to recommend that people who are not fully vaccinated wear face coverings in indoor public settings.

I have always thought the masks were not worth the trouble. If they truly did anything to keep people from getting COVID, once we all had to wear them all the time and everywhere, then people would not have supposedly contracted COVID after the mask mandates.
To mask or not to mask, that is the question the Governor answered by removing the mandate. If a customer or an employee is uncomfortable without a mask on we should encourage them to wear their mask or remain in a safe space away from the public. Wishing good health and a terrific summer to everyone!
Even though I voted yes, it should have been yes and no. If there is any form of congestion,- yes. Very few people in a reasonably area,-no. anything in between, my discretion.
Having been vaccinated months ago I will not patronize a business that continues to virtue signal.

Mainly no, but if I were in an indoor space with a lot of people and could not maintain appropriate social distancing, I would wear a mask.
