Maine’s Employment Resource Is Keeping It Local

Since its founding 20 years ago, employment search engine JobsInTheUS.com (JiUS) and its flagship site, JobsInME.com, have pursued a single mission – to connect local businesses that are hiring with real job seekers who are motivated and local.

JiUS now operates job sites dedicated to each of the 50 states plus the District of Columbia. Job seekers and employers use the network of sites because the first step in a job search is to start local, where one lives.

Today, visitors to any of the 52 JiUS sites can easily zero in on desired employment according to location within the state, length of commute, and dozens of job categories. With a few clicks or taps, potential candidates can pinpoint jobs by seniority level, education requirements, compensation, or preference for business travel.

Seekers can also save their customized searches, upload and store multiple resumes, and choose to receive automated job alert emails on a daily or weekly basis.

For employers, JiUS offers flexible solutions to meet hiring needs as they change and grow over time. Once registered and verified, a business can transact using the self-serve ecommerce platform. A dedicated customer service team and account managers act as strategic recruitment partners, working with employers to select what best suits their needs from a suite of products.

A variety of affordable price points give employers the opportunity to create the most strategic mix of media to get the best reach. All packages include company branding and add-on promotional options.

One additional value important to employers is the applicant tracking system (ATS), which helps with compliance and creates a system of record. The ATS is built into the sites and is available to all clients. It functions like a customized dashboard, allowing the employer to manage the apply process and candidate status, along with sorting and managing the applicant resume database and JiUS resume database.
