Junior Achievement of Maine (JA Maine)

2026 Goals

• Junior Achievement of Maine aims to accelerate economic mobility for students by preparing them for meaningful careers and long-term success in the world of work.

• Each year it forges stronger connections between Maine’s business and educational communities.

• It continues to highlight the diverse career pathways available to students, from those that are global to those that are unique to Maine.

• By encompassing diverse career pathways, JA Maine is focused on recruiting volunteers that not only reflect these pathways, but the diversity of the people within them.

• Through this work, JA Maine helps students reach their full potential and supports the development of a robust talent pipeline that meets the needs of Maine’s economy – now and in the future.

Fundraising events/Opportunities

Join over 400 business leaders from across the state at JA’s Maine Business Hall of Fame for an evening celebrating visionary laureates and hearing powerful stories from students whose lives have been transformed by their JA experience. This is JA Maine’s largest fundraiser of the year.

JAM Fest brings over 200 people from our business, education, and volunteer communities together for a celebration and as a way to say “THANK YOU” to everyone who makes the success of JA Maine possible.

JA Titan offers a direct way for companies to share career pathways to students preparing to graduate and is JA Maine’s most immersive learning experience. Over 300 students are mentored by community members representing over 40 different companies in Maine as they compete in a statewide challenge, putting them in the CEO seat of a simulated company.

JA Maine hosts two golf tournaments in Auburn and Presque Isle, providing opportunities to connect with other companies and clients throughout the state.

Career Speaker Panels are industry or company specific and offer organizations the opportunity to get in front of Maine students and cultivate Maine’s future talent pipeline.

Giving Opportunities

Businesses can become a corporate partner and provide funding to develop Maine’s workforce by supporting learning experiences that address economic mobility and cultivate entrepreneurial mindsets in students.

Event sponsorship is a great way to align your company with JA Maine’s mission and get in front of the business community.

Donate at jamaine.org/donate. Recurring donations, planned giving, and an annual appeal campaign are all ways to support JA Maine’s mission on an individual level.

Volunteer Opportunities

Junior Achievement volunteers impact a student’s life by instilling a sense of possibility, encouraging ideas, and being part of an educational solution to address economic mobility. The future of Maine’s workforce is strengthened when you volunteer with JA Maine!

JA volunteers bring a variety of learning experiences to students throughout the state through multi-week or single-day programs, job shadowing, career speaker opportunities, and mentorship.

JA provides all the materials and training so that volunteers are prepared and empowered to share their own life and work experiences.
