Having concluded our 2020-2025 strategic plan, MMSA is now developing a 2030 strategic plan that will focus on the questions of:
1. How can critical educator support programs be sustained in an uncertain funding climate?
2. How do we leverage research insights to inform policy?
3. How do we provide access to STEM learning when school budgets are so inequitable from community to community?
Our goals for 2026 specifically are to:
1. Create MMSA’s 2030 strategic plan
2. Begin developing MMSA’s advancement plan and team
3. Leverage new strategies to share existing resources for critical STEM professional development with broader audiences
4. Expand support networks with and for STEM educators and administrators
SUPPORT EDUCATORS: Sponsor an MMSA workshop, our STEM Professional Development Retreat, or our CS Summer of Fun week of learning. Your support enables educators to acquire new skills, expand their networks and capacity, and discover exciting new resources to engage their students. Sponsorships begin at $1,000.
SUPPORT STUDENTS: Sponsor the Maine State Science Fair and Middle School Science and Engineering Fair! Your support gives the next generation of scientists and innovators the opportunities to pursue their STEM ambitions in high school and beyond. Sponsorships for these high-profile events range from $2,500 to $20,000 levels.
Funding for education is more critical today than ever. Make a gift to MMSA’s Annual Fund to increase accessibility to high-quality STEM education across the state. Your support has a direct impact on educators, students, and the communities they serve. Be a changemaker for the next generation of innovators and STEM leaders by giving at hhttps://www.MMSA.org/donate.
Become a Maine State Science Fair Judge: Recruitment begins in January 2026! Visit our judges’ page at Maine-State-Science-Fair.com/judge to learn how you can get involved.
Share your STEM Experiences: We are always seeking businesses and organizations to share real-world STEM experiences with educators and students, or to partner with us on grant-funded projects. Learn more at MMSA.org/for-organizations.
