Banking roundup: personnel moves from around the state

Three Maine banks — Norway Savings Bank, Camden National Bank and Bangor Savings Bank — announced significant personnel moves in the past week.

Carter Lessard has been promoted to branch manager and mortgage loan officer of the Norway Savings Bank Windham office.

Lessard joined Norway Savings in 2018 and has eight years of banking experience.

"I’m excited to join the Windham team and I look forward to building relationships with the community members to help them reach their financial goals," said Lessard.

Lessard will be responsible for developing and enhancing new and existing banking relationships for business and personal customers in the Windham market.

Norway Savings Bank is a leading mutual banking and financial services company headquartered in Norway. As of June 30, 2022, Norway Savings Bank had $1.739 billion in total assets. Norway Savings was ranked No.8 among the largest Maine-based banks in the 2022 Mainebiz Book of Lists, based on assets.

James Dell’Anno joins Camden National Bank as senior vice president and director of mortgage banking and consumer lending.

Dell’Anno will be responsible for the vision, direction and execution of the bank's mortgage and consumer lending operations, as well as the sales team.

Camden National Corp. is the largest publicly traded bank holding company in northern New England, with $5.5 billion in assets and approximately 600 employees. Camden National is Maine's second-largest Maine-based bank, behind Bangor Savings Bank, according to the 2022 Mainebiz Book of Lists.

Jeremy Weir has joined Bangor Savings Bank as a mortgage loan officer.

Weir has over 12 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Bangor Savings Bank is the largest Maine-based bank, by asset size, according to 2022 Mainebiz Book of Lists. 

Weir's office will be based at the Bangor Savings branch at 208 Main St. in Biddeford.
