Building company lays off 25

Correct Building Products, a manufacturer of outdoor building products in Biddeford, has laid off 25 workers.
The nine-year-old company, which in July boasted of making record sales of their composite outdoor building materials, hitting a 16% increase over June and a nearly 40% increase over its 2006 sales during the same period, says the cutbacks coincide with a seasonal downturn in the building market, according to a press release. The company also mentioned that the current financial and credit difficulties had taken its toll.
Peter Anania, CEO of Correct Building Products, said in the release, "We're confident this is just a temporary setback of the market and it will turn around soon as we prepare for the 2009 building season."
