Camden chamber fires director

The board of directors of the Camden-Rockport-Lincolnville Chamber of Commerce recently dismissed Executive Director Claire Adams, and a replacement director has not been found.

The board last month dismissed Adams, who was hired in June 2006, according to the Camden Herald. There was no word on who would replace Adams. Tammy Kolmosky, president of the chamber's board of directors, told Mainebiz she could not comment on personnel issues, and that the chamber is preparing a press release that will be sent out Monday, May 5.

An anonymous survey targeting Adams and seeking to have her let go was sent to many chamber members last month, according to the Camden Herald. Kolmosky told the paper that the board was aware of the survey, but that it did not influence their decision.
